AIS Model

The RIIS International Symposium, the Systemization of Island Studies, Focusing on the Formation of Autonomous Island Societies, will be held on March 1, 2019

This is an international symposium focusing on the systemization of the new scholarly field of Island Studies.

In addition to research on islands, this symposium will also discuss the themes of

1) perceptions of island-ness 2) research approaches when studying islands and 3) Critical Island Studies themes and future prospects.
