At the Research Institute for Islands and Sustainability, we are strengthening our collaborations with other universities and research organizations with the goal of enhancing the field of Island Studies through individual and group research collaborations. Currently, we are hosting two individual and six group research collaborations that take a variety of approaches in Island Studies. At our Joint Report Conference, we will network beyond our work affiliations and areas of study to discover new research themes about islands from the reports of researchers who are actively engaging in field work and research. Based upon these ideas we will think about the future of Island Studies.
